What is a Time Relay? Electronic time relays are microprocessor-based control devices used in time-critical operations. These devices are designed to activate or deactivate a circuit within a pre-set time and function. They are commonly used in the control panels of power circuits.
Types and Operations:
On-Delay (Standard): Changes relay position after the set time elapses to activate the system.
Off-Delay (Inverse): Continues to operate for a set duration after power is cut, then deactivates the circuit.
Flasher Relay: Switches between open and closed positions at set intervals.
Forward-Reverse (Inverter) Relay: Automatically repeats direction changes in industrial systems based on set time intervals.
Star-Delta Relay: Controls the transition from star to delta connection in motor starting systems.
Triggered Relay: A specialized model that starts its process upon detecting an external trigger signal.
