EKON KONDANSATÖR Reactive Power Control Relay E-RGK 27 SVC

The E-RGK (15.21.27) SVC series reactive power control relay family
is designed to provide solutions for all types of compensation requirements, whether three-phase or single-phase, medium or low voltage, balanced or unbalanced loads, normally variable loads or rapidly variable loads, and wherever SVC is required. The E-RGK (15.21.27) SVC is the new generation SVC relay developed for the most complex systems in this family. It has 3 reactor trigger outputs in addition to the (12, 18, 24) contact outputs. By connecting TCR thyristor driver modules to the reactor trigger output, it divides 3 reactors into thousands of segments,
performing compensation with excellent precision. All operations are performed with 20 ms high-speed measurements.

The E-RGK (15.21.27) SVC, SVC and TCR drive modules work in perfect harmony. The user is offered 6 different SVC modes. For example, the SVC system can only be activated under capacitive load or only when the hourly penalties are in effect. It can operate synchronously or asynchronously with normal stages. Synchronous operation means co-compensating with normal stages. Asynchronous operation means clearing the remaining load from the normal stages. More detailed settings are explained in the settings section.

The E-RGK (15.21.27) SVC family was developed with user needs in mind; the entire family is equipped with superior features and privileges offered as standard. Each model optionally includes a fully functional communication port. Products with communication capabilities allow for complete reading, writing, and control of all types of information.

Among the standard features offered, the most prominent is the rich analyzer capabilities. Precise measurement starting from 5 mA, measurements with 0.2% accuracy, current and voltage harmonic measurement up to the 63rd harmonic, hourly, daily, weekly, and monthly energy ratios, scheduled energies, phase-end energies and phase-end
energy ratios, import-export-inductive-capacitive-apparent energies, neutral current, phase current-voltage-power, power factors, and over a hundred parameters such as cosΦ are measured with precision and presented to the user via user-friendly measurement displays.

Another standard feature is the connection test. This feature is performed quickly and safely by connecting a three-phase capacitor to the first stage. It detects not only polarity errors but also phase cross-sections, and provides automatic correction from within. If there are no errors in the connections, it gives the correct confirmation.

In situations requiring physical correction, such as when current transformer terminals are crossed, it assists the user by providing a warning. If there is no voltage or current, it warns by specifying which phase(s) are missing; thus, the relay not only states "connections are wrong" and "connections are correct," but also automatically corrects correctable errors and reports errors that require physical correction.

Another standard feature is the tap test. With fast and reliable tap testing, the relay learns the capacitors and reactors connected to its taps. The tap test feature is faster under no load. When learning taps under load, the tap test may take several minutes depending on the load condition to avoid being affected by load changes. The relay has intelligent algorithms for reliable tap learning even under load. It learns the capacitors and reactors connected to its taps according to their phases. It is not affected by voltage fluctuations.

Furthermore, the stages are continuously monitored during compensation, and all stages are retested simultaneously at predetermined daily or weekly intervals. Changes in the stages thus do not disrupt the system's operation.

Event logging and recommendations are among the other prominent standard features. A real-time clock records the last 10 significant events. 24-hour data is analyzed to recommend the appropriate capacitors and reactors for the system. Continuous hourly and daily recommendations are generated.
