The E-RGK series reactive power control relay family is designed to provide solutions for all compensation requirements in three-phase or single-phase, low-voltage, balanced or unbalanced loads, and normal variable loads. The E-RGK 15 is the 3-phase, 15-contact model in this family and performs compensation with single-phase and three-phase capacitors and reactors. The E-RGK 15 is the most economical and practical model in the series.

While developing the E-RGK family, every feature needed by users was considered; the entire family is equipped with many superior features offered as standard.

Among the standard features offered, the most prominent is the rich analyzer capabilities. Measurements starting from 20mA with 1% accuracy, current and voltage harmonic measurement up to the 31st harmonic, phase-end energies and phase-end energy ratios, inductive-capacitive-apparent energies, neutral current, phase current-voltage-power, power factors, and cosΦ are measured precisely over fifty parameters and presented to the user via user-friendly measurement displays.

Another standard feature is the connection test. This feature is performed quickly and safely by connecting a three-phase capacitor to the first stage. It detects not only polarity errors but also phase cross-connections, and provides automatic internal correction. If there are no errors in the connections, it confirms the correctness. In situations where physical correction is necessary, such as when the current transformer terminals are crossed, it assists the user by giving a warning. If there is no voltage or current, it warns by addressing which phase(s) are missing; thus, the relay not only says "connections are wrong" and "connections are correct," but also automatically corrects correctable errors and reports errors that require physical correction.

Another standard feature is the tap test. With fast and reliable tap tests, the relay learns the capacitors and reactors connected to its taps. The tap test feature is faster under no load. When learning taps under load, the tap test may take several minutes depending on the load condition to avoid being affected by load changes. The relay has intelligent algorithms for reliable tap learning even under load. It learns the capacitors and reactors connected to its taps according to their phases. It is not affected by voltage fluctuations. Furthermore, the taps are continuously monitored during compensation.

By analyzing 24-hour data, the capacitors and reactors needed by the system are recommended. Continuous hourly and daily recommendations are generated.
Many features such as alarms, language selection, password protection, and the ability to enter compensation targets are standard in the E-RGK family.
All E-RGK series have intelligent intervention and intelligent timing algorithms. Stages are recognized and activated and deactivated instantly or with a slight delay according to the system's needs. The delay is determined according to many criteria and protects the life of contactors and capacitors. Equal aging is achieved by switching equal stages with an equal number of switches. Timings can also be selected as fixed values. Timing and switching are performed differently for reactors than for capacitors.

The E-RGK family's large graphical display and menus are designed for user-friendliness. The menus are organized in a clear and understandable manner. Menus, alarms, settings, and errors are clearly displayed in the selected language.
